Community Links at Walton-le-Dale
We are proud of the links we have with other organisations. We know that transferring from primary to secondary school can be a stressful time for students and parents. This is why we work very closely with our primary schools to ensure our new students have a smooth transition. We participate in the MOTHS programme (Moving On to High School), which helps youngsters to settle into Walton-le-Dale quickly and happily. As an Arts College we work with our partner primary schools in Bamber Bridge and Blackburn, as well as Runshaw College in Leyland. We also have a close relationship with The Coppice Special School and these students can often be seen learning at Walton-le-Dale. Recently we have also extended our links with employers and local art organisations. Our facilities are widely used by community groups, church groups, sports clubs and other organisations.
Bamber Bridge Children's Centre
We are proud to host the Children's Centre for the local area. It is open during the day to support the health and welfare of babies and young children. We have a trained team to support organisations in the area and the Centre is used by health visitors and child minders.
